All proceeds will fund Dawes activities.

 

Hey 8th graders!  It is time to start thinking about high school!!  You and your parents are invited to attend an informational presentation about preparing for high school.  Speakers will give information about the process of selecting a high school, LPS Focus Programs (Arts & Humanities, Science, and Bryan), the International Baccalaureate Program at Lincoln High, Air Force Junior ROTC program at Northeast, The Career Academy, Learn to Dream Scholarship Program, and EducationQuest.

The first session will be offered on Tuesday, October 23, and it will be repeated on Wednesday, October 24, so that you will be able to choose the evening that works best for you.

Tuesday, October 23rd – Schoo Middle School Multipurpose Room – 6:30-7:30 p.m.

OR

Wednesday, October 24th – Irving Middle School Auditorium – 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Both sessions are open to the families of ALL students, no matter which high school you plan to attend.  If you have any questions about these special programs or transitioning to high school in general, you are encouraged to talk with Ms. Fisher or contact the Counseling Center at the high school you plan to attend.

Join the Lincoln Northeast Trap Club for a “TRY IT DAY” on Saturday October 27th,  2018 from 2 to 4 pm at the Lincoln Trap and Skeet Club. (4855 North 48th Street – just north of 48th and Superior)  This is an opportunity to find out more about Trap and see if it is a sport you’re interested in.  Any student interested in participating in Trap can join the team.  Coaches and team members will be available to answer questions.  You can bring your own sporting device and equipment.  Some equipment and a few sporting devices will be available to try.  Cost is $5 per round of 25 targets. Bring your own shells or shells are available if you don’t have any.  Lincoln Northeast Trap Club is a community based club and not Lincoln Public School sponsored.
