Who runs the world? GIRLS!!! But there was a time when women weren’t allowed to vote in the United States. Here’s today’s Trivia question: What year did women get the right to vote? Give up? Well, on August 26th, 1920 the 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote! Wyoming was the first state to grant voting rights to women AND was the first state to elect a female governor! How’s that for Girl Power!

Remember to exercise your right to vote this Thursday, November 1st during your first period class, or stop by the voting booths outside of the main office where a member of StuCo can help you cast your vote and be sure to wear your red, white and blue!
