Dawes Middle School teacher Zoey Snofsky is planning to give dozens of Diamondbacks priceless educations in her classroom this year.

Snofsky is beginning her first year as an eighth grade social studies teacher at Dawes. She said it is exciting to have an opportunity to help students in her new role.

“I just really want the best for all of the students in my classroom here,” Snofsky said.

Snofsky earned degrees from Southeast Community College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Lincoln native was a Dean’s List student at both schools.

Snofsky said one of her top goals is to turn her classroom into a safe space for learning.

“I think sometimes students just feel like they’re a number,” Snofsky said. “That’s something I never want them to feel. I want them to feel like their voice can be heard in my classroom. Everyone’s welcome in here."
