Today is an X day and outside recess
All students are invited with your families to join us Thursday January 29 from 5:00-7:00 for our Soup and Wellness night. A huge thank you to the different business that have donated soup for our event. We will have games in the cafe and Scheels staff will have planned activities in the gyms. Those who attend will also be added to a raffle for lots of great prizes including gift cards to different businesses, high school merch, and the grad prize a $200 gift card to Escape De Facto Escape room in the Gateway mall. We can’t wait to see you all there!
Students, finish your food and beverage before you leave advisory. There is no food or drink allowed after advisory in any classroom.
Homework Zone locations will be posted on the announcement board outside the main office
Attention 7th and 8th grade students. Reminder on cafe expectations. You must ask permission to switch tables. We don’t ask others for food. If a peer volunteers to give you their food, you can accept, but we don’t walk around the cafe looking for food. We keep our own food on our own trays and pick up our messes. Friday Ms. Salsman was highly disappointed in what the cafe looked like. If we cannot maintain the expectations in the cafe, we will move back to sitting with your class and not with your peers.
Now is the time to put away your phone in a locked locker or chromebook bag. They do not belong in your pockets or your hands. We are seeing several students with phones in their pockets. If staff see your phone in your pocket in the hallways or at lunch/recess, your phone will be turned into the office and you can pick it up at the end of the day. We should not need to remind you 6-7 times!
Please check for any important messages from family members after school on your grade’s announcement boards.
Everyday counts Diamondbacks! Being in school everyday and following the Dawes CARE expectations is the best way to graduate on time. At Dawes we are kind or quiet; that choice belongs only to you.
