Engaging Every Student Every Day

  • Today is an X day and outside Recess

  • This week is spirit week! Each day will be marked with a special day and way to celebrate.

    • Today: Iconic Individuals- Dress like a positive celebrity icon or role model, a successful individual in a career field you respect, or someone you look up to! Choosing a drug free lifestyle like our positive icons can help us make our mark on positive historical changes!

    • Tomorrow: teacher student swap day – students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students to promote the importance of teacher-student teamwork in our Dawes community – bonus points for including Dawes Spirit Merch or Dawes Pride Purple and Green!

    • For spirit week blankets are not allowed

  • Lincoln Northeast’s fall musical, ’25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,’ will be running Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Lincoln Northeast High School. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows are at 7 pm, and Sunday’s show is at 2 pm. Student tickets are $10, and adult tickets are $15. Go and support the arts over at Northeast

  • Are you missing a Jacket, Hoodie or water bottle?  Stop by the lost and found to see if it’s there.  Tomorrow will be the last day to come pick up any lost items.  All items left behind Friday will be donated.

  • Tomorrow is Halloween.  As a reminder, there are no costumes of any kind allowed during the school day.  Please make sure to wear appropriate attire

  • Those who are planning on attending Homework zone please be in your designated area for your grade

    • 6th Graders: Room 226

    • 7th Graders: Room 129

    • 8th Graders: Room 126

  • Now is the time to put away your phone in a locked locker or chromebook bag. They do not belong in your pockets or your hands. We should not need to remind you 6-7 times!

  •  Please check for any important messages from family members after school on your grade’s announcement boards.  6th grade will be posted at the 6th grade doors while 7th & 8th grade will be posted at the main doors.

  • Everyday counts Diamondbacks!  Being in school everyday and following the Dawes CARE expectations is the best way to graduate on time. We show courage to do hard things, Accept feedback from others, demonstrate Respect even when we don’t want to, and positively Engage in learning in all your classes.   At Dawes we are kind or quiet; that choice belongs only to you.  Let’s have a great day Diamondbacks!
